It's Christmas! A Year Full of Blessings!

This has been an amazing couple of months with many blessings!

My art and jewelry have been selling at all three locations!  My 18K gold-plated earrings make the perfect gift for the holiday season. My whimsical art with the addition of the "wine-drinking" kitties and kitties just "hanging out" together make great small gifts for friends.

My angels are always popular throughout the year! I have added angel ornaments, angels with more of an abstract twist and color... angels in pink & blue for new babies.

I have also added mixed media collages with the pet theme as well as the friendship vibe.

I had the honor of being asked to paint a "bell" ornament for the MMCC...a fundraiser. Several artists from MAGallery participated in this worthwhile cause.

Ann Dodys hosted the MAGallery Christmas party                at her quaint cottage here in Madison, GA

Spent Thanksgiving, 2023 with my family and my precious granddaughter, Harper.

Happy Holidays!

Happy Thanksgiving, 2023 & Holiday Markets

Angels are all around us!

Hope you are counting your blessings as we start this holiday season!  We have so much to be thankful for at this time!

I have been busy painting angels, kitties, churches, and other whimsical holiday-related pieces. Rita Knight Designs will be selling these items...18K gold-plated earrings, angel ornaments, small canvases, and large angels at MAGallery in downtown Madison, GA.

We are also participating in the Holiday Market at the Monroe Walton Center for the Arts in downtown Monroe, GA.  Angel ornaments, winetime girlfriend art ornaments, and angels in different sizes are there through the end of December.

Fishtales on Lake Oconee is a delightful store full of clothing for women and men, gift items, books...and angels by Rita Knight. You will not be disappointed if you live in the area!

Of course, I will be posting on FB (Rita Knight) and Instagram (Trinkets Jewelry Designs). If you see something you like, just message me.

Hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Rita Knight Designs, Fall 2023

 Welcome Fall!

Rita Knight Designs is delighted to welcome fall with new art and new jewelry! The resin paintings are perfect for your porches or outside entertaining areas. They can endure the elements throughout the year. They also add a pop of color! You can view a few of these paintings at MAGallery in downtown Madison, Ga.

A wonderful new collection, "It's All About the Heart" speaks to all conditions of the heart...some more abstract than others. These "hearts" are on 5x5 cradled wood and flat board canvases. They are mixed media...alpaca fiber, teeswater sheep, wire, paint & more! Pick one up for a friend. They will be at MAGallery Holiday Market and OCAF Holiday Shoppe in Watkinsville.

I am so excited that the "Love Notes" angels will be at FishTales at Lake Oconee. This is a wonderful shop full of clothes, accessories, and gift items. Look for the angels by Rita Knight in 5x7 and 6x9. They are being re-stocked weekly so drop by...special gift for birthday, holiday, or just "thinking of you".

The 18K Gold-Plated Earring Collection is always popular! These designs as well as some new ones can be found at MAGallery in downtown Madison, GA!  Pearls will also be available for the holiday season for the discriminating buyer or the hubby who wants to give a special gift!

Happy Birthday to a special daughter, Abby, who does the social media/marketing for Zeb Grant Designs!  If you haven't stopped by this wonderful store in downtown Madison, Ga...you are in for a treat!

Enjoy the fall season!

"A Clean Heart"...How to Reach Your Full Potential

There are so many people who are unhappy and discontented for so many reasons. They are living with a sense of hopelessness. We should be focusing on how God sees us...through the eyes of love & forgiveness. He sees us for the possibilities we have...not for our past mistakes.

We were created by God in His image...so we need to line up with God to reach our full potential. Some people think they are too old or that it is too late. It is never too late. It is a process of confession & repentance. I have made many poor choices for one reason or another, but if you trust Him, He will turn your life around and show us the right path.

There are many references and scriptures about the heart in the Bible, but my favorite scripture is, "Above all else, guard your heart, for it is the wellspring of life". Proverbs 4:23

My abstract heart series portrays the heart in many stages. Purify your heart and watch God take you to your full potential.

"It's All about the Heart" Series Launches

This series is so special because it is about the heart which is a popular icon traced to 10,000 B.C. Egyptians believed that it was the center of life & mortality.  Ancient Greeks held the heart to be the center of the soul.  The Romans viewed it as the single most vital organ for sustaining life.

The heart...no other symbol conveys affection and warmth of spirit like the heart. This mixed media collection is made up of hearts made from alpaca, Teeswater sheep, merino wool, paint, and wire. A friend, Debra Flagle who owns an alpaca farm, contributed these scraps. Debra makes beautiful scarves and hats.

The hearts can be found at MAGallery in downtown Madison and also can be purchased by contacting me at ritaknight18@gmail.com

Carol Denna, Member of Creatives

Carol Denna is another artist who has an appreciation for the therapeutic and fun benefits of Art. She is a self-taught artist who lives in the Lake Oconee area. After a successful career in the field of education, Carol started painting with watercolor and then moved on to acrylic, oil, and then mixed media.

Recently, her focus has been experimenting with everyday objects... letting the paint/materials take the lead. Carol also enjoys the social aspect as much as the art. She likes to show people they CAN do art. Her art has been recognized by winning several ribbons at the Eatonton Plaza Art Shows.

Her recycling of materials gives them a new life in her art. One of those surprising materials is dryer lint!

Carol will be an asset to this creative group who appreciates art & has fun doing it!

The Creatives...New Collective

I am delighted to announce a new collective in Madison,  "The Creatives".  A small group of artists who appreciate whimsy & friendship have decided to get together to share their skills, knowledge, and have fun while they are doing it!

The focus of the group will be to have workshops, events, mentoring classes & above all, celebrate ART!

One of the artists I would like to highlight today is Susan Kelley. Many Madisonians already know Susan because of her talent for making wedding cakes. In this chapter of her life, she is exploring another talent by upcycling jewelry. Susan finds pieces everywhere...from estate sales to antique stores. Her latest venture is "cat" earrings with a few necklaces thrown in. Here is Susan in her studio with a few of her new pieces.
