ART in Interior Design

ART is everywhere! Art is subjective...it is wonderful that different mediums appeal to different people. One can build a room around art, or it can be found in the smallest details of the room. As I took a recent stroll through one of my favorite places, I took notice of some of the art...from primitive folk art paintings by local artist, Joyce Connell to face jugs... to more! I also love to take notice of how art is displayed.

Home Decor Consignment for You?

Sanders Consign & Design is a wonderful consignment store located in Monroe, Georgia. Consignment shops are places that need to be visited frequently. Sometimes, you find exactly what you are looking for, and other times, you may come out with just inspiration. These are some of my favorite items from a recent visit.

New Inspiration in Art, Home Decor, & Accessories

I am excited about sharing short blog posts just to plant a seed of inspiration. I will highlight art, home decor, and home accessories.  Some of the art will be my own and some will be from other local and well-known artists & designers. I will always credit someone who has a unique idea or a location where you can purchase the item or items. Enjoy this journey with me and please contact me with any questions you may have along the way. I will also be including video tours of different types of houses...cottages, barn-style homes, mid-century modern, etc.

These paintings are by Rita Knight

Eclectic Style

A friend of mine who is into vintage and seems to have an eye for what is selling at the moment just sold these two loveseats to a client in NYC.  As you can see, this client has a knack for putting things together and creating a warm environment with her eclectic style.

Lamps, Lamps, & More Lamps

I love lamps!  There are so many different kinds at so many price points. I do think lamps can really add a lot of pizazz to a room. Sometimes a room can unfold around them.  Here are a few I found recently at Madison Markets located in Madison, Georgia.

This is also a unique way to display a deer head if it is impossible to get it relegated to the basement.
