What is "Boho Chic"?

"Boho Chic" is a style born in the 70's. Rooted in the bohemian/hippie movement, the look is trending in both interiors and fashion & shows no signs of stopping. Inspiration can be drawn from the 70's icons such as actresses Ali MacGraw and Faye Dunaway to present day actress Sienna Miller.

The style is characterized by organic, colorful folk-inspired pieces mixed with touches of modern. Hoop earrings, fringe vests, purses, and jackets...tunics, headwraps, peasant tops, floppy hats...are just a few of the design elements. Nothing says Boho like true vintage!

Trinkets' Pearl Earrings are Popular

Trinkets' pearl earrings are popular all year. There are many designs...Miriam Haskell vintage pearls combined with her 24 K Russian gold bell caps, baroque pearls, freshwater pearls, Kasumi flameball pearls to name a few. Here are two beautiful designs...one going to New Zealand...the other as a graduation gift...enjoy!

"The Power of Three" & "New Beginnings"

I just finished the last of three paintings on slanted canvases. The paintings are acrylic, 8 x 12, and can be placed on a book case, shelf, etc. or if you prefer, they can be hung on the wall. To purchase any of these, go to www.trinketsjewelry.etsy.com

New Angel Painting

My angel paintings have been very popular!  I have started a new series using slant canvases that enable one to sit your angel on a shelf or bookcase. Here is the first one in the series...

Serenata Farm & Event Venue

The Madison in May 2015 Tour of Homes & Gardens was exceptional this year for so many reasons, but the primary reason...Serenata Farm & Event Venue c. 1850 opened its doors as Madison's newest wedding venue.
Bobby D. Robinson, owner of this fabulous plantation style home sitting on 70 acres, was there showing his "southern hospitality" by greeting guests at the door, sharing information about the restoration, exquisite gardens, and answering any questions. He also had a little assistance from his Southern belles!
Trinkets Jewelry Designs was delighted to preview their new bridal earring collection featuring Japanese Kasumi flameball pearls in the guesthouse on the property during the three day event.
If you missed this wonderful opportunity, please join us now to step back in time and "take a peek" into this beautiful world and possibly plan your fairytale wedding there.
As we pull up to the main house, we see touches of the "Old South" everywhere...from the cannon in the front yard to the Southern belles greeting us on the porch.

Serenata Farm

Southern belles (and gents) abound to greet us...

As we step into the foyer, the sun coming through the stained glass above the staircase catches our eye. To the right is the gorgeous powder room. We know, at this point, we have an exciting visual feast ahead.

Serenata Farm

As we step into the living room, we are transported back in time. We take a quick look at the bedroom and bath with the Italian stained glass.  As we make our way toward the dining room, we are surrounded by a beautiful mural painted by local artist, Mary Leslie Hartman.

As we enter the beautiful dining room, we have local artist, Karen Strelecki, who painted the mural of the main house & the farm, explaining the process as only a Southern belle could do!

Serenata Farm

The main living quarters...spacious den, kitchen, and sunroom. Thank you, Jolene, owner of Perk Avenue Coffee Shop, for leaving those delicious muffins.

Serenata Farm

As we step outside, we find animals with C.A.R.I. director Donna Prior, artists Karen Strelecki, Claudia Davis, & Carolyn Simmons. Where is Peter, the peacock?

We are intrigued by the beautiful grounds...
