"Roosters, Angels, & Such...the Fanciful and Whimsical Creations of Rita Knight"

I am so excited about my first solo exhibit at "Just Pho...and More" in Athens, Georgia. The opening of the exhibit was July 17, 2015 and the exhibit will run through the middle of October. Angels on Stretched Linen

I have been very creative for the months of May and June...possibly the warmer weather has inspired me.  I have sold many of my angel paintings and started a new collection, "Tiny Angels". These make perfect gifts...baby, graduation, birthdays...to name a few. The angels are painted on 5x7 canvas flat panels, suitable for framing or to display on a table or bookcase.  Today, I started a new series painting on stretched linen. I have enjoyed this Limited Edition series, and I have gotten a favorable response to it. It is very different painting on linen...not as forgiving as regular canvas. However, I love the look!
Here is the first painting in this series, "The Power of Three". There will be three additional 16 x 20 paintings, "Sisters"," Angel Ascending", and "Angel of Protection". These can be purchased individually or as a group which would make a powerful statement.

Special Angel..."Angel Ascending"

A friend of mine, Barbara Howell, recently purchased one of my angel paintings, "Angel Ascending". Barbara and Dirk lost their precious and beautiful daughter, Amanda, a few years ago. This painting spoke to Barbara...and this is the picture she sent me after she framed the painting & found a special place for it in her home.
