Trinkets Jewelry Design Contest at MAGallery

The Trinkets' classes at Cedar Shoals and Clarke Central High Schools have been busy working on their portfolios for their design contest hosted by the Madison Artists Guild. The students' work will be displayed at the Gallery for the months of November and December. Please stop by & support these budding entrepreneurs.

Rita Knight Art at James Madison Inn

Several art pieces including paintings and mixed media by Rita Knight are on display at The James Madison Inn in downtown Madison, GA.  The art work which is also for sale is in the Oak Room of the James Madison. This hotel is a popular destination for tourists and wedding parties who want to experience the history of Madison, one of the few towns Sherman spared on his journey. The hotel has art displaying local sites in its lobby as well as art work by local artists in each of the rooms.

I just delivered angels to the Threads of Love organization on Lake Oconee.
The 5 x 7 paintings will be included in packets delivered to select hospitals throughout
Georgia. A percentage of angel note card sales will be donated to this organization~many
hearts comforted & healed by their wonderful work! To volunteer or for more information,

I'm looking forward to an Artist Residency at Oglethorpe Elementary in Athens, GA
starting this fall. In addition to the Trinkets' 21st Century Entrepreneurship classes
at Cedar Shoals and Clarke Central High Schools in Athens, GA, I will be conducting
jewelry design and art classes at Oglethorpe on Fridays.

I will have some of the paintings in the "Angels" series as well as the "Bloom where you
are Planted" series on display at The Surgery Center at Athens Regional on the Atlanta
Highway in Athens, GA in 2017. Stay tuned for details.
