Brooch Bridal Showers

Brooch wedding bouquets are one of the fastest growing trends. Your bouquet can
be "all about you" and a celebration of your life to be passed down to your children. We
would welcome the opportunity  to create a one of a kind design for your special day!
Brides can provide their own pieces or Trinkets can provide designer vintage brooches.
A fun idea is the Brooch Bridal Shower where guests bring a brooch or piece of jewelry to add to your bouquet...Country singer, Miranda Lambert, had an event like this when she married Blake Shelton in May of 2011.  All of the brooches were incorporated into her stunning bouquet!

"Portrait Suitcases"

Here are some of the finished..."portrait suitcases"...
Luis is such a hard worker with a good attitude...some of his items
include a fish for his love of fishing, a rosary for his religious beliefs,
and pictures of Messi, a favorite soccer player.
Diana takes a lot of pride in her work...some of her items include
favorite singers, soccer ball representing her favorite sport, and a
                       cross for her religious beliefs.
Jenniffer is very creative...she took time to add some finishing
                        decorating touches to her suitcase.
Eric did a great job on his suitcase...a unique touch was the way
he did his name with letters linked together on wire...he worked
                      hard on this project.

"Portrait Suitcases" by 21st Century Students

Students in my 21st Century Class at Cedar Shoals just completed a mixed-media project
entitled, "Portrait Suitcases". The project was inspired by George Davidson, a local Athens
artist, who believes each of us has a unique journey in life. Students' "suitcases" are made
from cigar boxes from the International Cigar Company. They chronicled the story of their
lives using a variety of items...charms, pictures, jewelry...items that had a special
meaning. Take a peek at this creative journey...
