Valentine's Day...A Celebration of the Heart

Valentine's Day is such a special day for so many reasons. It brings to mind one of my favorite Bible verses, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." Psalm 147:3

The heart has been one of the key focuses in my journey. Looking back, I am amazed at the references to the heart from the Bible as well as other sources that have crossed my path in the last few years. I also have noticed the jewelry, paintings, and mixed media art that I have made with a heart theme...the articles that I have read, the people I have been exposed to including my wonderful, creative students, and the prayers from many have contributed to the healing of my heart.

So share the LOVE this Valentine's Day! Also, remember, "Above all else, guard your heart, for
it is the wellspring of life." Proverbs 4:23

My Jewelry-Making/Entrepreneurship students have been focusing on a word they selected at the beginning of the year. This project was inspired by the book, "One Word that will change Your life".
Many words were chosen, but the predominant one was LOVE.

Ideas of What to Write in Your Artist Newsletter

As the 2018-2019 school year is starting for Trinkets 21st Century Jewelry-Making/Entrepreneurship classes, I am planning to blog on different aspects of starting your own business.

The first aspect is keeping your clients informed of what is going on with your business through a newsletter. Of course, if you have an etsy shop or web site, your clients will want to be
updated & this is a fun and easy way to do it.

Some of the ideas that you might want to consider are:

       so start documenting.

Earth Fare Exhibition, September, 2018

I am delighted to have my art at Earth Fare in Five Points in Athens, GA for the month of September.

Angel Series for "New Babies"

Many of my friends are having their first grandchild. A couple of them have asked me about angels for "new babies". I started researching and found the perfect paint for this series...two-tone acrylic with an iridescent effect. It is a little tricky to work with, but I love the results...all pastels...soft colors for baby...each one different. Here are the first three in the series. Which one speaks to you?
