The Heart...often when we think we are dealing with a person who has a negative attitude or offensive actions, we are actually dealing with a "wounded heart".
From reading a devotional by Jeffrey & Kathi Pelton, they posted the scripture, Proverbs 15:1 "A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger." Check your heart before you speak...words are so important. Are you reacting or responding? We have to learn patience, endurance, self-control, and how to love.
May our words and our hearts be washed in His love and purified from ulterior motives.
This subject of the heart has inspired my new series. These mini mixed media heart collages are made with alpaca, Teeswater sheep fibers, paint, gold foil, and wire. Some are on canvas...some on wood...as you will notice, some are more abstract than others...what is the condition of your heart?
